I recently designed a phone stand that is very simple to design and make.
I wanted to design the stand so that anybody with a hand saw and a drill could make this in a short amount of time, i also wanted the design to look elegant while not complicating the design. i added a space at the bottom of the stand for you charger cable to go through, this then makes the desk or work surface look more tidier and the excess cabe cab be wound around the dowels for keeping your work surface clutter free.
the dowels extend out the from by 20mm and out the back by 40mm you can adjust this to suit your viewing angle
the bottom can be routed or sanded to a curve for better seating on the table surface
All of the measurement i have given can be adjusted to suit your needs and upon request i could draft up a design with altered dimensions for you
What you will need:
- 10mm diameter wood dowels you will need 4 78mm long dowels
- wood sheet of at least 10mm thick i use 18mm thick sheets in all my designs you will need 100mm by 150mm size piece
