Embedded Pi Up Close | Connect Raspberry Pi, Arduino & ARM

I've been fortunate enough to hold the Embedded Pi in my hands to get a real feel for the product and take some up close pictures of the board for you to see how this fits together.

Before we get to the pictures here's a brief rundown of what the Embedded Pi does.

  • Development Board which allows you to bridge Raspberry Pi, ArduinoTm & 32-Bit ARM.
  • Use the raft of Arduino shields in your Raspberry Pi project
  • Connects 32-bit ARM MCU to ArduinoTm.
  • Join the STM32 MCU to you ArduinoTmshields with or with out a Raspberry Pi.
  • Select which mode you will use via jumpers - Raspberry Pi Mode, Standalone Mode & ST-Adapter Mode
  • FREE CooCox ARM development Tool for ARM (Sorry Linux and Mac users, this is Windows Only)

Now the pictures

That STM32 is quite a large lump of tricks and the particular part used here as a large Flash and I/O so you can in fact run most projects from the STM32. I think in many ways that unless you want internet conectivity you could almost do with out the RPI altogether.. The other thing I see here is that since it's designed to run on the RPI the fact the dev IDE is windows only is a bit of a miss!
