Neat, This is going to be fun. My first Project that I will tackle is going to be for my Bicycle. For years I have been riding to and from work.I leave early morning and come home late, so Lighting is very important to me. That being said there have been times when my LED light has run out of batteries mid ride. Leaving me with nothing but moonlight to guide me. This has happened too many times, so I thought of ways to clear this little safety hazard.
I would use a store bought Bicycle Dynamo, but that's no fun. I'm planning on designing and making my own. To fit my needs. Maybe not only light my headlamp but also charge my devices. I have a phone that eats power and having a way to charge during commute would be excellent. Plus I have a GPS that could use power. So, I need a Dynamo that can handle all that power consumption, run on my Bicycle and not interfere with my overall cycling performance.
That's is the base Idea, now off to design and report back when I have something to report. Next I should have some photos and sketches. Oh maybe a google sketch up of my design I have always wanted to learn how to use that program... Anyone know how to use that... Message me if you know of any good tutorials.
