I currently started a new project , its called "Amatuer tracked robotic platform Stingray" and it's my first
attempt at createing robot from scratch.
My main focus is on electronics and low level programming while one of my friends is working on
mechanical parts. While most updates on my blog will focus on my parts of projects I will also
post info about progress in diffrent areas.
General idea came from my previous project in with I modified Aldebaran I-Droid into tank and
while it reqired a little mechanic skill almost all electronic parts were made and preprogramed.
Because of that my part in was very small and limited to helping in some basic tasks , only
one of my parts was used , a H-Bridge made for high power transmission.
In this project i will finally have more active involvment and create a whole set of hardware.
So for starters here are alluminium sheets that was used to create robot chassis :

On top you can see paper model of tank , I'm not sure if CAD drawings are available but if they are I will try to post them as well.
Another thing is that we haven't decided if this project will be OpenSource hardware and we know that we will have at last one more person
on it so for a while I might not present full description of all parts.
