as i said in the description i want to not only restore this table but make it a little more interactive, i plan on adding lights in the pockets that will light up when a ball falls in and have the playing area illuminated with uv light lighting up uv reactive balls, i havent looked around yet for uv balls so im not sure about this because if i paint them they will chip from playing. I was also thinking about an automatic score board that would recognize if it was a solid or a half that fell in and display the score as well as recognizing if it was the eight ball ending the game, the best solution i came up with so far is using rfid tags inside the balls but that would require making my own set from scratch, the only good thing about this would be that i could also make them uv sensitive as well. The only good method i can come up with for this is casting them out of some kind of resin, i think the score board would use an arduino as the controller with two numerical displays at both ends of the table, as for the pockets that light up i was thinking about just attaching a sensor that would trigger the light whenever a ball falls in
sorry for the bad pictures but thats the best i could do with my phone and the poor lighting that is in my basement, i already started disassembling the table so the top is off you can see the wood pieces off to the side
