Hello and welcome to this blog.
a) This will be a short message today. I am executive director as well as the majority of the roles in a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization located in San Diego, CA, USA.
I am a student working on my degree in Nonprofit Business Administration.
b) We 3D Print protheses using volunteers, ages 12-80 free of charge to our students. It is a great education and training for our students using hands-on and DIY processes. These protheses are then sent to Africa and other areas in the world that could never afford anything other than a stick or??, to beg and survive. We want to change that on a large scale beginning with our youth and adults who may have never of thought how they could help someone in dire need, across the world, in a way that will change theirs' & their parents' lives. Who are saved then? The lives of the poor, marginalized, oppressed, suffering, and neglected. Our clients are war, human trafficked, and land mine victims. They have crippling birth defects, are children with diseases that we do not fear because we have health services, and they have little or no health services.
c) There are so few nonprofit organizations which collaborate with other schools, colleges, corporations, other DIY'ers, nations and the concerned, anybody, concerning 3D printed protheses. We will and do. We supply free prostheses, made and assembled by Americans, in America. In time, we hope our business/charitable concept will be the template for others around the world. All we ask in return from our recipient of our protheses, is that they each agree to perform so many hours of community service using their new prostheses. In this way, we teach that nothing in this world is free without working for it, and that even they have a social responsibility to their community and the world. In this way, we hope to have either their written or video testimony so others can see the direct results of our volunteers and helpers. Love truly has no borders and I chose our corporate name as an indication of this: The Kind Hands of Peace.
d) I would also like to form a for-profit firm which will use 3D Printed drone parts, our designed & assembled drones and their accessories for hauling supplies into inaccessible areas. In addition, our teams will work on the following projects: 1) newly-conceived and engineered drone hubs, 2) the infrastructure for these hubs which will then be located and operated in 3rd world nations beginning in Sub-Saharan Africa.
These drones will locate people , areas, or objects in areas of: civil conflict, war, humanitarian need for assistance after natural disasters when a plane, vehicle, or person on foot, cannot go. Or, where other nonprofits and able nations, including the UN, choose not to invest their resources. Our clients will mainly consist of the poor, marginalized cultures and peoples, areas in the world in which governments choose not to roam because of no natural resources to capitalize on, or because these lands are of no military importance/threat.
e) As to our for-profit organization which is in the beginning stages of development, we will incorporate similar actions as stated above. In addition, we will charge fees to the governments in which we provide our services. All these details will come to fruition in the coming months and I rely on you, if you feel the desire, to help in any way that you wish.
