I gather that it is customary to introduce yourself here.. I am from Dallas, Texas, USA. I am a software developer and system administrator and I have beed tinkering and teaching embedded electronics for a while now. I am a strong believer in the 4 freedoms of software. The Raspberry Pi is too closed, but it is better than anything comparable I have found. I am looking forward to making a tablet based on a Raspberry Pi, so I'll have a convenient computer to carry around. Android and IOS are way too clumsy to be very useful. Lubuntu or Raspbian are good enough, and I'll keep looking for something better. I don't understand Element 14's environment yet, so I don't know if this is a good place to post projects, but I will figure that out.
