Things Have really changed over the years as to how we learn electronics.. Years ago we did not have the same tools, knowledge, component availability that we have today. My interest began with a Fox hole radio I had to make by hand giving me a general understanding of coils / Induction then moving on to adding air core capacitors ( variable ) to the Fox whole radio seeing first hand as to the changes that have taken place and understanding why those changes are taking place. then getting into applying signal diodes into the mix and learning, experiencing changes as to what the diodes are doing and why...
I can imagine to most of you this would be child's play. but for some I would just like to say there is nothing wrong with basics. Not everyone can afford a college education or have the time to go to school.. but if you really have the desire and the passion to learn electronics from experience a Fox hole radio is a great start ! You can be your own teacher and never be afraid to ask questions. one simple project can and will take you a long way
