Being playing with Proteus and Target 3001 over the past week or so, every EDA tool I have used seems to lack in one regard or another, for instance OrCAD while having superb analogue simulation abilities has an old fashioned interface and has a steep learning curve forcing you to go through the built in tutorials.
Then there is Tina, nice and simple, intuitive but doesnt quite cut it when doing complex designs. EWB/Ultisim same problem. Proteus...lacks intuitiveness but offers some unique features (LCD output on the schematic).
Target looks pretty good, but it simply does not operate in the same way as you use windows, when I right click I expect a properties drop down box to appear. When I left hold, I want to be able to move the component, I dont want to click another button on a drop down menu.
EDA tool manufactures...stop making programs which are difficult to use, as the meerkat says, keep it simples!.
