Lost interest in 3D printing...I think...not sure...

So I sit beside my 3D printer while I work everyday......

Its been months now since I last used it........

I feel bad because its a wonderful tool.....

I think I have printers block......

Now am I the only one in this boat?  Just curious I think I might have to try something soon but even just saying that doesn't mean it will happen.

ARG!,

Need some motivation lol

Hi Wesley, I have a similar problem with many of my tools and instruments. I some times go quite a while between bouts of creativity. I used to blame the lack of production and creativity on not having…

I have a few tools that I've either bought or had them as gifts and just not got around to using yet. For me the 3D printer currently lives it it's box and is taken out when there is a quiet time in the…

My new year resolution is to not 3d print anything.

I had the same resolution last year.

Yes. Knowing myself - because I don't deal with mechanics - I would buy a 3D printer "because everyone else does so".

And then I would end up printing Yoda heads and nothing else.

The thing is, having a 3D printer makes doing the mechanics for a project much easier. Before I got mine all my projects would come to a grinding halt as soon as it came to the part where I had to put things together. The electronics I can do, the software I can do, the mechanical stuff, not so much, I know what I want to do but don't know how to actually do it so being able to create arbitrary mechanical components which help me to put things together is a huge benefit.

But I do get your point, when you first get a 3D printer you will create a large number of useless items and will have a Yoda head or two in every room of your house image
