MSP-430 progress

Bought a MSP430FR6989 LaunchPad development kit about three month ago and between a book and a couple of online resources have made good progress in learning its periphal systems. Well except the ADC stuff!

I've found that starting from TI's examples is usually helpful. There's normally at least one simple example for each peripheral. Assuming you've installed CCS in the default location you should find these…

... and you can browse/load the example projects in CCS via Menu View -> Resource Explorer

I remember buying a Piccolo controlSTICK to get a free CCS licence. I never even used it - I gave it away! It seems we all bought something different to get CCS for free!

I fell for the same offer on the MSP-EXP430G2 in order to get the full fledged CCS. At least we didn’t pay the full asking price 3 weeks before :-)

I have a MSP-EXP430F5529LP that I added to an order to kick it over the free shipping amount.

And a MSP-EXP430G2 that they offered for a limited time with a free eternal Code Composer Studio full license (no code size restrictions).
2 weeks later they released the next CCS version that didn't need a license any longer
