As I have decided to take over the world using an army of small smart walking robots (My Robot Army ) I took steps to double the size of my robot army (from two to four!). This seemed a good step to take, especially as my preferred robot was being offered at a 25% discount (about £6 each - the LiPo batteries inside them could cost that much). However, I have encountered some problems.
Being battery powered they have a limited life, for example, the robot on the right in the video had just shut down due to low battery. However, this seems a good thing and could limit any robot uprising.
Another problem is that because they are all identical I cannot tell them apart. I wasn't expecting that problem. I think I will have to give them some form of identifiers, maybe numbers.
Finally, and possibly the most important problem, as the video indicates, they do not always do what they are commanded to do - by me, and seem to sometimes operate independently. This was unexpected and I'm not sure what is causing it. It may be having several robots together is somehow interfering with the commands but I'm not sure how, or maybe there is some effect from daylight. Or perhaps I have solved the problem of making self-aware robots - just put four identical robots together.
