The main aim to visit such events as an engineer for me is to learn what is going on, have a big picture in mind, attend technical lectures and most important of all lay my hands on sample/free development boards, kits and parts. I was surprised by the giveaways at the event. Some companies were rather generous with it.

Some reading material I picked up. Thanks to American companies lot of it was in English. I prefer to read in English rather than in German (although I do work in German 
) as I learn new technical terms which I can match with the device data-sheets.

Conclusion
To sum it all up; quite a successful trip to PCIM 2018. Many eye opening instances and interesting technical chats.
Best of all: free development boards with new ICs and devices which I plan to use in my future element14 projects and blogs.
