DZX Designs is introducing an all new set of usb libraries for connecting your NXP microcontroller to a software application via usb. The DZX USBPort messaging system gives you everything you need, embedded firmware and PC Windows .NET software, to get usb communications in your design. The DZX USBPort system is a drop component that is perfect for anyone that needs to develop an embedded device that also requires a controlling software application. The USBPort system is a perfect alternative to using a serial-to-usb or a virtual com implementation.

The libraries include a development tool, the DZX USBWorkbench, that provides a data terminal to help you view your transferred messages and debug your implementation of the libraries. The DZX USBWorkbench also gives you the ability to "model" your messages by breaking up each message into a collection of named and typed variables. The tool can then automatically generate your messaging code files for you to drop into both your embedded firmware and your .NET PC software projects.

The USBPort messaging system can also include a secondary USB bootloader for those that require their devices to be programmed in the field with their own controlling software application. The bootloader also contains a security feature that gives you the ability to distribute encrypted firmware update files for your NXP embedded device.
