What I'm saying is that I have an extensive background in industrial electricity. While servicing a 4160kv mcc.   I noticed circuit boards.   Long story short.  what is the best way to slowly introduce electronics into repertoire.    Where should I begin???

thanks

I've studied and have an associate in electronics.  But that was 10 years ago.

    Hi Frank,

Here is a blog that I put together a while back to help someone start into electronics. Check it out and see if it has any information you can use.

I Want to Do Electronics!  Where do I start?

    Hi Frank,

If you have basic electronics knowledge, then you need to tell us what you do not know so that we can guide you to the appropriate level of instruction.

Microcontrollers implement basic logic and decision structures which require some level of logic and process understanding.

The actual steps to using a specific microcontroller will depend upon which one you choose to begin with.

The Arduino has a lot of support for newbies, as does the TI 430 Launchpad devices and the Cypress Semiconductor devices.

So think about what you want to do and then tell us and we can guide you to the useful places to learn.

    DAB
