OK, so far this show has been a classic example of how you can still succeed despite the obstacles that are thrown at you! Try this lot for size:
a) My colleague Neil Higby (through no fault of his own) breaks his arm on Saturday, and is not allowed to fly - leaving us a man down.
b) Monday morning flight - the plane is not allowed to land at a fog-bound Munich, We are diverted to Stuttgart, where we sit for an hour on the tarmac, then finally take off to land at Munich.
c) In the meantime, my colleague in Germany, Wolfgang, has reached our stand location to find no stand has been built by the exhibition staff, so we have to wait before they finish, and we can dress the stand.
d) Turn up 1st day (Tues), left our passes on stand, have to persuade German security guard to let us get them.
e) The stand carpet covering has not been removed, so we do that, Ben goes to throw it away, comes back and treads oil onto the carpet.
Despite all this, the show is going very well! We have received a good number of leads, and still 2 days to go. The whole show is very busy, I expect lots of good business is being done.
Here's a picture of our stand grabbed at a quiet moment:
Do come and say hello, if you are coming to Messe Munchen!
That's all for the moment, full report after the show
