Raspberry pi Questions

I have never purchased a Raspberry pi of any sort; so I was wondering if anyone out there could answer me a few of the following questions:

If I were to buy a Raspberry pi zero how much money would it cost to make it as capable of doing things as the Raspberry pi 3?

If I did that would it run as fast as a Raspberry pi 3?

Would it also power the same amount of stuff?

To both BE & AO'N: WRT SDcard, uSDcard, and uSD-to-SD-adapters: A CAUTIONARY TAIL. Be careful of leaving the adapter in your PC/old-RaspPi-1# WITHOUT an uSDcard inserted. If you have a RaspPi-1B like me (I also have RPi 3B and Zero) take a look at the slot that takes the SDcard. There is a Micro-Switch in there. When a SDcard Adapter is used W/O a uSDcard inserted, the O/S thinks that there is a Memory Card in there, b/c the Micro-Switch's contacts are closed. It confuses the O/S and you the User.

The above Scenario happened to me, many years ago w/ Me and a Netbook. B/F I figured it out back then, I was like "Hillary" when she ranted at the US Congressional Hearing on Benghazi: "What does it Matter! What does it Matter!". Well it does Matter if there is Micro-Switch inside the PC/RaspPi. LOL

WRT RaspPi Zero and the possible need for an OTG Cable?/USB-Hub, I received an email from Amazon.com for a RaspPi Zero Case, Case sold w/ a OTG Cable. You have to provide your Own RaspPi Zero. IDK (I Don't Know) if this solves our (collective) Problem of accessing the RaspPi Zero via USB KeyBd & USB Mouse. The URL is:https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018W3RI3S/ref=pe_843110_209119990_em_1p_0_ti?th=1

The OTG cable looks like a slight variation  on the USB Power Brick Cable. The USB Pwr Brick cable = micro-B-plug (male) TO  Full(size)-A-plug (male). From the Pic at the URL, this OTG Cable = micro-B-plug (male) TO  Full(size)-A-Receptacle (female). Maybe these days USB Hubs expect  connection via their Full(size)-A-plug (male). My Bidul USB Hub (mentioned in my 03OCT16-12:52 PM-Posting) has such a plug. Doesn't look like the Amazon sold product will help b/c it only offers ONE USB connection. We need USB KeyBd & USB Mouse, OR if using Putty (SSH Client) we need a RJ-45 Wired LAN connection Through USB(?). BTW there is a Wiki entry for "OTG" IDK whether any useful info can be gotten there.

TS (Time Stamp) = 11:32PM 06OCT16. Tried my Bidal USB Hub w/ that cheapie OTG Hub? interposed between the Bidal Hub and the USB connector (on left) of the RaspPi Zero. Same problem: get into Raspian GUI, but KeyBd & Mouse do not work. BUT after viewing YouTube

videos keying on: "raspberry pi OTG hubs", one gets a lot of Hits. Most show a RaspPi Zero working through a particular Named OTG HUB.

That is my next move. i.e. buy that particular OTG Hub, THEN see if it works like on YouTube? There is a Wiki entry on "OTG Hubs" but it is confusing? something about pulling the 5th conductor (wire) to logic "1" OR "0" on micro-B plug(s) that connect to the RaspPi Zero. I guess I could try, but the micro-B leads are SO SMALL, that rather than simulating the OTG, it is easier to buy a particular one.
