I had heard about Bitcoins a couple years back and didnt think much of it. Recently in the news i heard about the SilkRoads owner and his recent down fall. Most interesting part of his whole story is that he has a billion dollars in bitcoins stashed away. So i started researching bitcoins and thought this could be a cool project. Most of what i read was lack luster. You wont make money, it uses up alot of power. It will take years to make one bitcoin. I decided to give it a shot anyway. I dont intend to make money on it but i wanted to see if i can make a Bitcoin mining rig run completely off solar power. So im choosing the route of the RasberryPi. There are already threads and tutorials on making them solar power. The question is can i get USB hubs to run efficently on solar power. Thats what im gonna find out. I would also like to note this is my first real attempt at a blog. I would appreciate any advice on it. Thanks!!!
