I started late but will attempt to get the project going with the intent of making use of as many features as possible.
First leg of the journey is to use the internal sensor. As we age, some of us will loose the ability to sense temperatures outside of comfort or realize that the AC or Heating has failed or was left off. This phase of the project is to have the device monitor temperature above 82F (28C) and below 60F.(16C). Since I don't need accuracy the internal monitor will be fine. As testing goes on it may be necessary to raise the scale if the CPU tends to move the needle a to much.
Tasks:
Finding samples for reading the temperature or writing the code to do the math myself.
Setup the reading to flash the onboard LED for this phase.
Next items:
Connect a flame sensor. These are useful for number of conditions and fireplaces may be a problem.
Connect a mems microphone to only be used for level detection not a listening device.
Connect to the WIFI.
