Starting a small prototyping lab- in need of equipment and mostly advice!!

I've been into the electronics scene now for a while and trying get get up some money to buy the equipment i need. If anyone has any old equipment that they want to let go of i'll gladly take it off your hands!! Also advice on what to get if you can't spare anything would be great! I wouldn't been putting this out there but i'm still in high school and broke which makes it hard to work on stuff! Anything is greatly appreciated! Also pardon my grammar. I have a very limited budget if you aren't willing to part with it without price.

Simple stuff for right now because of the last of equipment I have pliers and screwdrivers and a hammer and my computer. Looking to make things like Tesla coils also want to make a working rangefinder and other diy projects. But as soon as I can I will to make a lamp because my desk is a dark place. Also a railgun. I'm very short on components and want to experiment with single board computers and microcontrollers and also looking in the market for a 3d printer and an oscilloscope.

You are correct the lamp is a good place to start. I think that good lighting is essential to a good lab. What country are you in?
