I saw the legendary guitarist Steve Vai perform last Friday. Besides being one of the best guitarists in the world, he is also one heck of a showman-- he really interacts with the audidence the enitre time he's playing. He appeared dressed like an alien for one piece, complete with a jacket full of timed LEDs, laser-emitting rings, a spacesuit helmet, and the world's coolest guitar. Needless to say, it didn't impair his ability to shred in the least. 
Just another example of how wearable technology appears in all kinds of places you'd least expect it!
