I was one of the lucky winners of the http://www.element14.com/community/view-product.jspa?fsku=2009276&nsku=87T3791&COM=noscriptSTM32F4DISCOVERY THROWBACK THURSDAY Contest. I received my board Dec 7, 2015 and began to familiarize myself with the STM32F4 high-performance microcontroller and the board's capabilities.
My first step was to plug it in and check out the default DISCOVER project. My first thought were, "This is nice." and watched the colorful LEDs as they cycled around. Then I went ahead and connected a second cable, activated the MEMS sensor and checked it out as a mouse. Fun, pure fun. Here's a quick video of my new STM32F4-Discovery running the default demo sketch. https://youtu.be/Lyfq5DJzGRI
I agree with SYED JUNAID AHMED and I too would absolutely love having some of the awesome add-ons like the
base board for the stm32f4 discovery board Part STM32F4DIS-BBSTM32F4DIS-BB and I'm working hard on getting one
I installed the RealView Microcontroller Development Kit (MDK-ARM) toolchain available from www.keil.com for my first tool.
With the holiday rush in full swing I don't have as much time as i wish I did to work on this project. Do we ever have as much time to spend on our projects as we wish we did? Anyway I'll keep you updated of my progress. Happy Holidays to all the Element14 Community members.
