Technology Innovation

I attended the Tech Review last week which was hosted by MIT and Cybermedia India, all of topics were talking about the innovation, Lots of MIT professors, Federal Ministry of Education & Research, the Engineering head of some technology giants like Infosys, GE & Yahoo were invited to share the idea how to build the innovation environment in India, how to motivate the people to be more innovative.

Mr. Amit Dayal, Engineering VP of Yahoo India shared his experiences in how to successfully implement “ Yahoo Video” from idea to the real product, It is very impressive he focused the angle the innovator how to use the effective approach to get support and make the idea become the reality, he shared lots of tips on what should prepare and present your idea, how to communicate to get effective support, how to test it.

MIT professors introduced the future Computing System & Digital Imaging, Many core will be a trend to improve the processing capability, in next 5~10 years, maybe your computer has 1000 cores, currently 4~8 core processor has been released by Intel, AMD and RMI, but with the rising of number of processor core, the power consumption, data memory management & OS will face the serious challenge, Mr. Anant Agarwal was very optimistic on those challenges, he suggested to migrate the current muiticore structure from Bus to Mesh topology, reduce the working frequency of processors to reduce the power consumption, he also stated this is new for us, so we think it is so difficult to overcome the programming complexity, Interconnection of Multicore..all of challenges actually are because it is “New”, he believe it is a great opportunity for all of processor companies and OS experts, all of companies are standing at the same point to start, everybody has opportunity to become “Bill Gates”.

You too!

Hi @Austin, This sounds interesting. Any links to the conference? I read somewhere about a competition that highlighted young innovators in India -is this the same?
