I would like to present the really old transistor radio called Belson AM/FM. This radio was made in Japan. It is supplied by three 1.5 V batteries. It probably has around 45-48 years. It is preserved in very good condition. I have cleaned it inside. Below there is video from clean up process:

I am really impressed quality of reception and sound generated by small nine-transistor radio with single speaker (0.25 W / 8 ohm).

Very clean radio : ) There was a time when every radio seemed to have this type of construction inside : ) Same tuning cap and volume control, same TOKO-style cans etc : )

I think that this is caused by The Tower of Babel problem, haha It looks like that only one capacitor was replaced before my inspection. Rest of parts are original .

This a great little classic and it is obvious that you have taken good care of it. Even the leather case looks great. Thanks for sharing it.

Sometimes the quality of older electronics is impressive. Things were built with an intention that they would last. Even the electrolytic caps look good (or have they been replaced)?
