A few months back Ada Fruit's LadyAda was asked to participate in a "Fireside Hangout" with United States President Barack Obama. There she discussed being a business owner, and spoke with the President about ways to get children interested in math and science, including the well received suggestion to include programing as a required language (in case you missed it, you can watch the hangout here)
for high school students.
On Thursday March 28th the White House hosted a another Google+ Hangout with the Maker Community being the topic of discussion. Moderator Tom Kalil facilited the conversation with a diverse and exciting group of panelists which can be found below. Topics of of conversation included what being a Maker meant to them, how they got involved in the Maker movement, and what is the next step for Maker community. Several themes spun off of those questions, and as we are a community of Makers, Tinkers and Deigners, what better place than right here at element14 to continue that conversation...
