V-ZA & V-ZC Series - The Multifunctional Powertool of Panasonic

Panasonic’s Hybrid capacitor could be achieved by combining the advantages of aluminum electrolytic capacitors with conductive polymer capacitors. Panasonic’s newly developed hybrid technology (introduced as V-ZA and V-ZC series) brings together long lifetime, low ESR and high ripple current characteristics of conductive polymer capacitors and the low leakage current of aluminum electrolytic capacitors. Utilizing the compact design and high reliability of the conductive polymer capacitor and the safety and high voltage of the aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

A state of the art device always require a compact design and high performance characteristics. Especially electrolytic capacitors have been continuously improved to achieve low ESR (Equivalent Series Resistance) values as well as low leakage current properties. This technology is limited by its ESR values. A combination of electrolytic and polymer unifies the advantages of both. We can double ripple current values and reduce ESR by approx.70% compared to the same case size aluminum electrolytic capacitors.

The various advantages of our Polymer Hybrid Capacitors outperform other technologies. Also if you have a closer look on the characteristics one by one, you will be impressed by each difference performance level.

The high performance of the Polymer Hybrid technology opens an impressive downsizing & weight reduction potential for our customers. And with this comes a overall cost improvement potential that allows you to reduce costs up to 50%!

The product is not only revolutionary for engineers needing the excellent performance parameters. It is also designed for the coming future market needs. An important aspect of the Panasonic Polymer Hybrid Capacitors is that its performance will be strong and stable also at very high switching frequency up to MHz area.

The reliability and safety aspects are also more and more important aspects that need to be considered. With its long lifetime and its safety features the Polymer Hybrid capacitors fully supports these requirements.

The low leakage current level of the Polymer Hybrid technology contributes to power saving requirements and enables a stable operation in all applications

And not to forget about the eco friendly aspect, which is always a topic and will become more and more important in the future especially . The usage of a minimum of raw materials, the long lifetime of the capacitor, energy saving potential and the high reliability are a perfect combination also in order to reduce waste and increase lifetime of the finished product.

The numerous advantages available from the Polymer Hybrid technology for a wide range of possible applications and functions are second to none. In order to support all of our future customers, we are constantly developing our Polymer Hybrid Capacitor range by bigger voltage range, increased capacitance values and steady improvement of all its characteristics. Panasonic is prepared for all of our customer’s requests and listens eagerly to the customer voice. So we can proudly recommend our Polymer Hybrid technology for all future applications. .
