I have most of the parts up and running. I hope to have the navigation system with real time tracking this weekend.
PiFace 2 Digital
I have added the board to the Raspberry Pi 2 and the software was easy to install. The PiFace Digital Emulator is loaded as a shortcut to the StartX desktop.
PiFace Control & Display
Again this as an easy install for software. There are lots of python code examples. Once you have this installed the display should show you temperature, memory and the IP address of the Raspberry Pi.
Raspberry Pi Camera
I will be using the RPi Cam GUI for testing. It has both time-lapse and motion detection. You can control the camera from a website with the Raspberry Pi's IP address. I have it attached for now on the Raspberry Pi B but will be testing on the Raspberry Pi 2. I believe the performance will be better. I want to include both the camera board sent to us and the Raspberry Pi NoIR for Night Vision.
