What would you like to ask the authors of "Art of Electronics"?

Hi Everyone.

 

We're pleased to announce that we'll be interviewing Paul Horowitz and Winfield Hill, the authors of "The Art of Electronics," here on element14. The long-awaited 3rd edition to their classic text has just been released, and it is already garnering rave reviews from fans of the previous editions and newcomers alike.


What would you like us to ask them?

  • Hey Guys.

     

    I am working with the authors on the final text, so it should be live soon-- hopefully next week. At several points, I prefaced questions by mentioning the name of the element14 member who originally suggested them. Is it alright for me to use your actual name in the interview?

     

    I'm specifically referring to , , , and DAB, whose magical powers mysteriously prevent me from tagging him. Would you each either post your preference here or send me a message to let me know? I'd kind of like to use your real names. This interview will be a very big deal and I'd love for readers to be able to recognize you by name if you're ok with it.

    Hi Sagar, Sure you can use my real name, John Wiltrout. It was never my intention to hide behind a login id anyway. It was just a consequence of not knowing how the web site worked when I signed up. Since my own computer always translates the login id to my name I thought it was doing the same for everyone.

    Thanks. And we're totally cool with people who prefer to just go by their username. There are many reasons why someone might not want to show their actual name online, so I just wanted to make sure you guys are OK with it. I think I'm just waiting on and now.
