I have the Solid Tinned Annealed Copper Wire, PVC Insulation which has an outer diameter of 1.2mm. Is there any wires available made from the same or a similar material with a smaller outer diameter available from Farnell?

    You can build up your specification, here is an example, all these are solid and are between 0.8-1mm diameter:

    If it is just for personal use and don't mind stripping outer insulation and untwisting, then if you're happy with solid copper wire (not tinned), then Cat. 5/5e network cable is a low-cost option, it is optionally available in solid core. By stripping off the outer sheath, each insulated wire inside has an outer diameter (i.e. including insulation of the wire) of approx. 0.9mm. It costs £1 per metre (8 core) so really you're getting 8m for that price (and cheaper still if you buy a reel).
