Hi all,
I saw this LYTRO camera on TV the other night and ordered one right away.
What makes the camera different is that it captures the optical flow of the image.
That means that once you import the file, you can change your viewing location to see objects at various focal planes within the image. Yea, really cool.
So after I get to understand how to use it, I want to see if I can actually measure the distances between objects from inside the image.
This technology is new and I urge all photographers to go take a look at their website.
If this thing works as well as I think it might, I might just be able to use it in my lightning research.
More later
