I managed to attend the first, hopefully annual, Maker Fair.
Both my wife and I had a great time and from my observation, so did everyone else. Nice turnout.
So without further ado, the pictures.
Carollon Park is a great venue for the event. Lots of wide open spaces. They were even launching model rockets.
These guys made a liquid fuel rocket motor test stand.
Here we had an old mechanical Teletype printer.
They had two teams doing a junk build vehicle, though I noticed that they had seeded the area with just what they needed.
They also had some drivable robots.

This guy makes steam powered engines. Very cool.
A nice CNC machine.
3D printers galore.
The park is also full of technology developed in Dayton Ohio over the years. Here is a real woody, with real wooden parts.
This man built his own propane fired steam motor bike.
There were also lots of arts and crafts.
There were two blacksmiths showing how to bend metal the old fashioned way.
Here we have a robot strawberry harvester prototype.
A 2D pancake maker.
More 3D printers.
A robot arm waving a flag.
A display demonstrating how to use conductive ink to make an interactive display.

The MCR cash register museum.
And the ubiquitous Raspberry Pi.
