Most Linux users will at some time need to learn to write scripts to do their day to day tasks and it's just as important if not more so
on an embedded system where most likely there will be no GUI and often only limited access to the device via a console.
You could be writing stuff in Python for say your PI but often you are as well off writing a simple BASH script.
Many of us feel they could do better with their 1337 scripting Skillz I suggest you take a look at this guy's site and spend some
time on his Tutorial and pick up some excellent tips. The online tutorial is well paced and goes through all the key areas of scripting in Bash.
