Colossus @ Bletchley Park

Problemchild

20 Aug 2013

This is the tour around Bletchley Park and took in all the old school Crypto stuff including a trip around  The National Meuseum of Computing.

There are 100's of small exhibits there but one ofo the best is the  Colossus the worlds first electronic computer image

Glowing valves, the hum of the paper tape feed all add to the excitement as well as a talk delivered by a staff member

    John thanks for that.

There was a very good program on Discovery and it came up then.

Very lucky it didn't get scapped.

I think it got half scrapped but as they said the restorers got some bits back from  the old engineers and also got lots of bits from old telephone exchanges
