OK I'm ripping off my mate Jim again, sure he won't mind as he really can't be bothered to do the Blog posts image

This week he's taken  the nichrome wire out of a toaster and making a couple of nice new toys namely an Acrylic Bender and Hot wire Polystyrene cutter.

Murder a toaster and have fun today !!! image

How about adding a longer lever and a chute for the bread so that can use their paws to press the lever and drop the bread into the chute!!! Project!!.......Dog Toast Must have an Arduino involved !

I found his foam cutting nice and therapeutic, a bit like popping those packing bubbles

More credible would be to blame one of the kids ... not sure how this can be considered "good parenting" though ...

I'm sad to hear that you don't consider 'Dave' as one of your children ... what sort of parent are you.image

I'm puzzled by extracting nichrome wire from a toaster.image

Most of our have had a flat wire for ages.

There is a brand of heater with a coiled wire inside a glass?? tube that was a good source of wire, and they had two different size elements.

They were great because you couldn't make contact with the electricity ...might be hot but electrically safe.

I said Nichrome but I assume it maybe something else. Having said that it didnt look very special just  wire shoved through that Card like stuff!!
