Whilst still on the historical bent here's a short video I took of the WITCH/Harwell Dekatron which is the oldest working stored program computer.
Again you can visit it at The National Museum of Computing at Bletchley Park.
I just love the way the actual value in the Dekatrons can be read directly from their fronts, you can even see the data "spinning" from 20 feet away .....cool
