A Palindrome Resistor

     OK this is really not worth writing about but it caught my OCD eye. Perhaps it is the electronics equivalent of a four leaf clover. I will have to buy a lottery ticket tomorrow and check out the hypothesis.

I have done my best to make the colors more readable but they are Brown - Orange - Black - Orange - Brown  (130K).

    John, all my jokes are poor, you guys are just all too polite to tell me!

     

    I too salvage components off old circuit boards, I have been known to extend the legs of resistors that are too short (using one originally horizontally mounted in a vertical position).

     

    The difference is, I do it because I'm cheap!! image

    For relaxation, I model things in Fusion360 - that becomes a project!

    Hi Andrew,

     

    The leads are equally trimmed but the result of having been installed in a circuit board. (I salvaged it) One of the things I do for fun and relaxation when I am between projects is salvage parts off circuit boards. As far as my tendency to organize and find order pleasing I am happy with the results as it makes it easy to find whatever I am looking for in the shop. I think it is great that we are all good enough friends to joke in any manner with each other. The diversity of people and cultures that are on the site and share a common interest in electronics is wonderful. The fact that we can all joke with one another and not take ourselves too seriously is a good sign.
