imageWell, here we are again more tools. I never can find the right Allen Wrench, well never imageagain!! I just picked up the Bondhus 69600 ball end color set for metric, and US. I also uncovered in my garage my Xcelite 99PS-40 in the case!

At least now I know where the Allen Drives are!!

I like the color code idea. Unfortunately it is different from the resistor color code...Relaxed

I paint the end of my drill bits with a color from the resistor code : )

e.g. if I have a 3.2 mm drill bit, then I paint the end with a brown paint marker, to represent the 2. Then I throw it into the bin labelled 3mm.

Hehe good point, I'd be stuck with those measurements! All I know is 1/4" is 6.35mm. Same with screws, I don't know the non-metric sizes. Had to buy some 6-32 screws the other day (to fit some PCB brackets) and didn't have a clue until they arrived, that it's something in-between M3 and M4.

I also like the idea of color coding - but I know that I would never remember what each color represented.  SO... only the most critical tools get the coding (yellow tape).
1/2" SAE combo wrench, 10mm combo wrench, 5/16ths (8mm) nut driver.

I use heat shrink tubing on the pocket screwdrivers in the tool box; Yellow for the ones ground narrow enough to be used on 2.54mm terminal screws.  Green for the ones that still have wide hips.

kmikemoo Ok, but then you have stuff all over your nice expensive tools.  I have my car tools downstairs in the Garage and they never come up! Now in the Lab I have my desk drawn for some tools its split in twain, and behind me I have two tools boxes one an old Craftsmen(?) box that holds things like my Squizy things, but not pliers as they live in draw by then selves. above is most of my screwdrivers. there is a draw with some 3/8 sockets and whatnot. then In one of my greatest pickups in a yard sale, a small Kennedy with 7 draws (this replaced my large Kennedy that was stolen years ago. (its a shame its gone there were lots of stickers from projects that I worked on plus my Metcal SMT tips and some hand tools)  with smaller stuff and then there is one more old Craftsman(?) over on my network rack. Might toss the last one! BTW this does not count all of the other little boxes that are floating around. 1/4 set, etc. ~~ Cris

BTW The plastic boxes are great for smalls anybody need an RF adapter?? I Really almost don't use them anymore, Notice the damn GR connectors??
