Well, I have this unit on the repair shelf for a since 2015/07/22 So after much sawing and filing I got the NEMA socket to fit in the damn hole. In hindsight, I am glad I used the spade lugs! I then use a Molex type plug set with some wire on it so that I can work on the unit while the back is off.
I also replaced the 600ohm solid wire with stranded wires as well.
The 50ohm cable is not grounded at the circuit board but only at the connector, to reduce ground loops
