I was recently blessed to receive some very cool new toys from the good folks at element14!
This time they were kind enough to send me an STM32F4-Discovery microcontroller board complete with this expansion kit that includes a camera, touchscreen, and base board complete with network support (among many other things).
I thought that would make a really cool standalone birdcam, as all the pieces are already there in terms of hardware at least 
Ok, now I really have to go try these things out... I'll let you know how it goes
