Happy Earth Day 2023!!
This year's theme is Invest in Our Planet.
My contribution has been my solar system that I installed at the very end of 2017. To date it has generated about 28 MWh and my net electricity consumption for the last 64 months has been under 300 KWh. My yield goal is slighty above our average consumption. One issue that I had not anticipated was the effect of wildfire smoke. I'm pretty happy with the 99% reduction in our electricity footprint.
It's still early in the morning, so the inverter hasn't logged any energy yet today.
Coincidentally, my Fitbit One decided to give up the ghost today. It's been struggling lately with its battery capacity. I've had it for 8 years and 8 months. I had hoped to log 20,000 miles on it, but fell considerably short of that target.
Interesting enough, it looks like the battery is replaceable. I haven't done well taking things apart lately. Might be good for an E14 teardown. I wonder if anyone has hacked the display and radio...
