Transformers (toys) circa 1980s

My wife was looking for Legos for my grandson that she remembered we had stored in a footlocker in the garage.  It turned out that there were no Legos but dozens of toy transformers in a wide range of sizes.  These date from the mid 80s to early 90s.  We have two sons so the good news and bad news is that these toys were well used - probably half of them broken.

Here's a picture of some of the smaller and medium size ones that we are sorting.  The larger ones are still in the footlocker - most of them broken or missing parts.

I also found a couple of McDonald's Transformers (Changeables) - Egg McMuffin and Chicken Nuggets.  I had forgotten that they even did those.  I guess the boys must have had Happy MealsSlight smile...

I did find the Legos in a plastic storage bin - a bunch of sets all combined together - no boxes.

I also have a Lego MindStorms Robotics set that I will try to resurrect when my grandson gets older.

Old toys are new toys to youngsters.

A real blast from the past.

My son had given away all of his Lego from his past to a nephew, so we had to build up a new collection for our grandchildren.
