suggestion: moderation queue - warn when saving as draft

Yes. The blog contained a snippet of the example code. I included the copyright line. And that included a mail address.

That e-mail address thing has caught me out too.

Another idea could be to whitelist anyone who has (say) 10 or more blogs, for all blogs and discussions. Don't know if that is hard or easy to implement!

I think spam detection do not evaluate content very much. Only frequency of posting. It happens to me when I post/edit many blogd within short period of time. It happended twice to me. At first I was adding link to next blog to each blog which I wrote in MAX40080 CSA Design Challenge. After I attempted to edit 11th blog I was denied. Second time I was posting about 8 comments in the row in multiple independent threads and last one was denied even it was simple single sentense comment in plain text only (no links, images, codes, ..).

From memory cstanton  mentioned it's a undisclosed set of tests, since they don't want to alert the genuine spammers, but one of the tests is e-mail address (or anything with the ampersand connecting two words guess! Also probably frequency of posting as you say.

I got a specific message saying it was the email address in my content.

EDIT: I don't mean ampersand of course, typo!

I believe that if I keep blogging for a few weeks more, I've unveiled the whole algorithm. If it affects the ones that provide the creative content, it deserves a revisit.

The majority of blogs that get caught by the moderation queue are due to the following reasons:

- Too much repetition of the same or similar text

- The amount of website links in the content

- An e-mail address in the content, or perceived e-mail address in the content.

Yes and no, if it said that, then someone could potentially sit there and re-adjust their work in various ways so that it circumvented any checks before we get to see what was in the content while still presenting the spam content.

The best solution I would like to see is the ability to 'whitelist' users that can post content and are trusted.

We were able to do this in Jive, the previous platform, it was more based on what rank the user had. I miss it.
