The email notification content is not very useful

Hello,

When I'm subscribed to a thread or a group, I conveniently receive an email telling me about new content being available.
However, that email's content does not feel very useful to me because it contains no summary or excerpt of the new content :

This is the case with new forum content, with replies to forum content.
But surprisingly this is not the case with quiz answers or competitions comments:

What have I missed in the settings?

    This came up not so long ago actually, and you are right.  It basically comes down to spam that had inappropriate content in it - summarising it into an email notification was the issue, thus now it doesn’t happen.  Hopefully they can get back to the spam filtering/detection they had in place in the old Jive software version of the site.  I don’t know why it works in some and not others - most likely because they’ve missed thst content type out.

     , Andrew is correct on this, and I'm aware it sucks right now.

    I'm going to look through the templates again and see if we can make it make sense without spamming people.

    The site shouldn't be punishing users to also punish spammers.

    Thanks for the explanation, I agree it's always a fragile balance with all those spam robots lying around...
