Site Maintenance: Any notification distributed

I received this web page yesterday. I checked twice in ten minute span and then moved on.

Any insight into what possibly changed. I did a search of Feedback & Support and my notifications and found nothing.

    Hello  , there was an announcement on the site homepage, under the rotational banner.

    From feedback, we should be sending out an e-mail to notify people that the site will be down.

    Unfortunately, I don't have an easy way to do that at the moment.

    The downtime was intended and some features and fixes were rolled out to the site, thanks for reporting though! We'll do better at informing the members as to what's going on.
