The element14 logo is not loading on firefox in ubuntu

I recently installed ubuntu on my pc and decided to stick with the default browser this time, and when going to the element14 website, i see this icon instead of the e14 logo that appears in its place when visiting the site on crhome in windows

I have no idea what the name for that litle image next to the site's name on the tabs is called, but yeah, that's what's showing up different on firefox in ubuntu than on chrome in windows.

Since this is a fresh install, i don't think there's a problem with the software, not sure, of course, but yeah, every other icon thingy is loading correctly for every other website, so this makes it not unlikely a thing with element14 itself?

    Can you let us know what version of Firefox this is?

    I am not certain. I do not see this problem with firefox nightly on windows.

    hi! I'm using 129.0.2 from the snap store, and the OS is  ubuntu 24.04.1

    another curious thing! i thought to log out and when not signed in the e14 logo is displayed as expected, and it also happens in a private window (in case that helps) when logged in in a private window, the arrows are displayed as the tab icon, but the e14 logo shows up when not signed in. i also thought that maybe it had something to do with disabling notifications, but enabling them again didn't change anything.

    With Sea Monkey on Windows (based on the Mozilla Firefox engine), I see this when I'm logged in. It shows the usual e14 icon in the tab when I'm logged out.

    The '3' in the icon is the number of unread notifications. If I click on one of the notifications to view the respective page, the page initially loads with the standard e14 icon in the tab, and then, a few seconds later, the tab reloads with the blue chevron icon and '2' to indicate the number of notifications unread. So it looks deliberate, or a mangled form of something deliberate.
