This is working 'as intended' by Verint.
When you create a blog post, and 'save as draft' to edit later, and the consequently publish, the 'publication date' will be set to when you first created the blog post and saved it as draft.
This means the following scenario can happen:
- You start creating a blog post on the 1st of May 2022, you save it as draft.
- You keep working on the blog post, saving it as a draft each time
- While you're working on your draft blog, time passes, it's now the 30th of May 2022, people have posted blogs since then, and in the 'recent content' widget it's showing their blog posts
- You finally post/publish your blog post on the 30th of May 2022, you go to the 'recent content' widget and expect your blog post to be there, but it isn't. There have been 29 blog posts posted since yours, and you wonder where it is
The problem here is that your blog post has the 'publication date' of 1st of May and so isn't shown in the list because it is considered 'old'.
While we raise this with Verint, there's a workaround for this:
When you go to post/publish your blog post, you need to change the 'publication date' of the blog post. If you update your blog post in future, you may want to change your 'publication date' to reflect this.
While writing your blog post you can click 'options' next to 'Write' and change the publication date to when you want it to show up in the 'recent content' or 'blog' content widgets.
We (probably I, cstanton) will be monitoring content created and reading user feedback on this in case it's abused, if content is repeatedly 'bumped' onto the content widget then your account will be marked for moderation, which means I'll have to approve every post and change you make, but frankly I believe this functionality will be used sensibly.
Thanks for your patience
