Site Maintenance: Site Upgrade to v12

We intend on upgrading the element14 Community from Verint's version 11 to version 12 on the 1st of November.

It's possible that this will be pushed out to later in the week, or later in the month depending on complications, time taken, and unforeseen circumstances.

We don't have a great deal of detail of changes that're coming in v12 at the moment, but there will be significant changes that may be from back-end search indexes, moderation, to the user interface.

Verint have a list of release notes for version 12.

We will have more information nearer the time, and afterwards too.

The site will be down for maintenance when the update is ready and deployed, and also the site will be slow around that time due to maintenance in the background.

If you have any questions please post them in the Community Hubgroup or Feedback and Support.

Your blogs, profile data, etc. should be unaffected.

    As a part of this we will be re-indexing the search content, the site may perform slowly during this time, ideally not for too long but maybe a few days.

    There's a possible known issue with listing RoadTest Reviews in the search results.

    There also may be occasions when the site goes down with '400' errors, this is being raised with the platform vendor (Verint) and the server admins will be paying attention to the behaviour of the server - it was decided that although this is a risk, the number of fixes that going to version 12 comes with is overall better than sticking with version 11.

    The upgrade has been pushed to the site, however there will still be background search indexing and processing going on.

    The site may:

    - Produce 5xx HTTP errors

    - Be slow to access

    - Have parts of the site that do not appear or load properly

    While this is in process. It was decided to do this during the week so that the admin staff can respond to any issues this may be causing and view logs of any problems that may arise.
