Tell us what you think - Win Yourself a Tool Kit! - Survey Over, Winners Soon

Hey everyone!

We'll be looking through your feedback to help shape and improve the element14 Community - we've loved hearing what you think about the website and how we can change in the future, and for you to tell us a bit more about what you do here.

Congrats to oreszki and HFCapocha for winning the Tool Kit! We still have a few more to give out, so make sure you're responding to your direct messages / e-mails when you get them!

Details of the competition are still below:

For doing so we'll give 10 lucky individuals a chance to win a Duratool 25 Piece Soldering Tool Kit shipped from our Newark element14 warehouse, this hardware's not usually for sale from our global stores so you're in with a chance to win something exclusive.

Find out more about the kit here. Terms and Conditions apply and will be attached to this document.

You're still also welcome to comment below and let us know what you enjoy on the element14 Community, what you would like to see done differently or topics we can also cover in the future as part of our Essentials, hardware you'd like to RoadTests & Review, what Design Challenges you'd like to undertake or how about the Project14 you've got going on? Or perhaps you'd like to see element14 presents in the Suggestion Box ?

I was a long time watcher of The Ben Heck Show and never really realized that there was so much more to the community until lately. I really like the variety that multiple presenters have brought to the…

Did the survey, which didn't take too long. Perhaps I should have said that sometimes I do not find the structure and organisation of the Element14 website intuitive. I know that it is a large website…

The questions where superficial at best. like do you buy from E-14 or Newark GOD NO your pricing is nuts! I have had an account with Avent (since the late 70's when it was Hamilton Avnet, I used to go to the will-call window in LA!) maybe now since Newark is owned by Avnet pricing will be better.

If you ask a question you should follow it with why if you enter it negatively.

Do I get tech, news info from E-14. NO, the rags (magazines) do a much better job, a much wider point of view.  I get about a dozen or so a month, some are NASA Tech, COTS, Avionics, Embedded Systems, (EDN no longer in print), and others. BTW there all FREE!

If I am working with a TI part and need an answer then I log into TI's E2E forum and get what I need quickly sometimes by TI employees.

Blunders in some road tests: I have a heterogeneous system of  Linux boxes most Debian 9, one Sun UltraSPARC 3D Creator. When I got a package data acquisition PCI card. It mostly came with Windows Software (LOL, can't even run it.)  That was a total bust! I have since made my lab PC into a dual boot, with Windows on it. LESSON: ALL-WAYS HAVE A LINUX DISTRO and NOT IN A DAM INSTALL.EXE file!!!!!!! which is just a package anyway!
