    I voted 'other' as I would have chosen Michael Faraday if he was on the list. He gave us, amongst other things, the unit of electrical capacitance (the Farad), early steps in inventing the electric motor…

    He gave us, amongst other things, the unit of electrical capacitance (the Farad), early steps in inventing the electric motor, understanding of electromagnetic induction.....and lots of chemistry of batteries. He did all that from very humble beginnings.
