Definitions
- System integrator engineers: specialize in knowing about all of the available technologies and delivering combinations of them, tied together with some custom engineering, to provide a complete (but often non-reusable) turnkey solution for a manufacturer’s specific need. System integrators are third-party personnel that work for or with O.E.M. manufacturing engineers.
- OEM Manufacturing Engineers: work for an original equipment manufacturer in the design of manufacturing facilities, processes, machinery, testing, automation, etc. Could oversee the work of a Systems Integrator.
